50501 Kansas City is proud to stand with the Starbucks workers, against corporate greed.
We are fed up with unchecked corporate greed and wealthy executives ignoring their workers and breaking labor laws more than any other company in modern U.S. history.
We’re proud to join workers to #BoycottStarbucks until baristas win a fair union contract. When workers take on one of the biggest corporations in the world, they shouldn’t have to do it alone. Join us and stand with union baristas show Starbucks that working people stand with baristas.
The demands
- Starbucks must finalize a fair union contract
with 12,000 local baristas and growing. - Workers must be able to survive on a Starbucks paycheck.
That starts with a union contract that locks in better pay, better staffing, and enough hours to live on. - Starbucks has to stop breaking the law.
They remain the biggest violator of U.S. labor law in modern history.
What can you do?
You should do everything you can to reduce your spending at corporate owned businesses. Especially those actively under boycott by the people. Here is a list of items we want you to focus on:
Stop All Spending At Starbucks
Don’t buy their coffee. Don’t purchase their gift cards as gifts.
Drink local – Support small business
Find your local coffee shop and support them. It is always better to support local, small businesses. You keep your money in your local community, support a local business and their family, and build community! Don’t trade supporting your neighbors for convenience.
Contact Your Local Starbucks
Call your local Starbucks and tell them you are not spending another dime until the workers are put first. Tell them you will never support corporate greed.
Contact Starbucks Corporate Office
Call them and tell them you stand against their out of control capitalist agenda and you stand with all workers everywhere. Tell them they have lost you as a customer for life and let them know you are supporting local coffee shops moving forward.
Join 50501 KC’s “Not Starbucks” Campaign!
Stand With Your Neighbors, Not The Oligarchy.
We are excited to launch 50501 KC “Not Starbucks” Campaign. What is “Not Starbucks”? It is a way for the people to come together, support locally owned businesses, back Starbucks workers, and show corporate America we will no longer be slaves to their unquenchable thirst for endless wealth at the expense of the people.
Brew Change, One Cup at a Time
Join the boycott against Starbucks. Grab your coffee from a locally owned coffee shop. If they are union, even better! Just don’t purchase anything from Starbucks. Build community and support the local families running the many great local establishments around you area.
Spread the word, every cup is a statement.
We need you to spread the word. Show everyone that you are willing to stand up against corporate greed.
