It’s time to leave social media run by billionaires
50501 Kansas City is proud to be part of a great group of organizer working to end the oligarchy, end their control of our social media, and bring our town halls back under the people’s control!
Join with Starve the Machine and start weaning yourself off their platforms and starve them of the attention and funding they need to survive.
Big Tech is Funding the Far Right
The guys running the digital town square are pumping hundreds of millions of dollars into partisan politics. Combined, Elon Musk (X), Jeff Yass (TikTok), Larry Ellison (Oracle/TikTok), Peter Thiel (Meta), Marc Andreessen (Meta) have injected over half a billion dollars into far right politics to divide our country and control their narrative.
The Algorithms are Rigged Against You
Social media algorithms are not neutral. They are actively engineered to quiet progressive voices and boost the right. They are throttling content, boosting far-right accounts, radicalizing the right, skewing algorithms against the people.
Your Data is Being Weaponized
These apps are massive surveillance tools. They know exactly who you are, who you hang out with, and where you go.
- Doxxing Activists: Meta voluntarily handed over user data to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to unmask anti-ICE activists.
- WhatsApp Backdoors: Meta built a backdoor into WhatsApp, allowing them to read your “private” messages whenever they want.
- Mass Surveillance Dreams: Larry Ellison openly cheers for AI-powered mass surveillance. Under the new TikTok deal, his company holds all US user data.
- Instant Censorship: Meta didn’t just suppress content; they completely banned links to grassroots activist trackers and deleted rapid-response groups.
We can vote with our views
If we stay they can manipulate, surveil, and silence us.
